Pounding hoofbeats echoed throughout the land, steady like the beating of a heart. The flints pressed against the earth with a strong amount of force for the being that they were attached to seemed to want it to be known that he was indeed present.

The stag snorted, flipping his auds to and fro as he trotted across the meadow. His eyes burned with annoyance. This place is far to peaceful.

Suddenly a familiar scent wafted into his nairs. A mare. The stag began to chuckle to himself with pleasure. If he could convince this mare to join his herd it would truely begin to grow very quickly.

Swiftly he sprung off in the direction of the smell. It wasn't long before the brute appeared before the mare. She was exhausted. Good. Easy game. A devious grin painted itself across his maw and a playful fire danced in his eyes.

The stallion was an odd looking sort for his alliance. At first glance most are relieved for they feel his is a light..But indeed they are sorrowfully mistaken. His pelt was a golden buckskin hue. His limbs had ebony stockings on all four except the forelimbs had ivory socks as well. His mane and flag were as dark as night. He also had a small ivory snip on the tip of his nose. He had all the traits of a Tennessee Walking Horse. Long, slender legs, long muscular neck, strong bodice.

The stag stared at the drowsy mare for a moment. Studying her carefully. He then smirked.
"Evening, fae." he hissed.

He snorted softly in reply, nodding his crania ever-so-slowly. The corners of his mouth curled upward in a frightening grin. "Yes. Yes I do." he snarled, referring to his herd.

He merely stood, watching her as she passed him. His auds flipped back, pressing against his skull as he realized she was leaving. He snorted irritably and slowly began to follow her. His ebony flag lashed out against the atmosphere behind him.

The stag followed her to the river's edge where he too quickly waded across. Strong limbs carrying his large body across. At the opposite side he broke into a gallop, flints thundering across the earth. He leapt in front of her, blocking her passage.

"I don't think you heard me." he growled, "But I know where you can find others." he snarled in a demonic tone. His eyes burst into flames as he stared angrily toward her. The games ended now. Seriousness flooded his face.

This mare would indeed join his herd. Whether she pleased to or not.

The stag rolled his eyes. This mare's cheery tone annoyed him.

"Oh trust me young fae..You're never ok now." he taunted. He began to circle the mare in a frightening manner, trying to degrade her, catch her off guard. His lips curled back to reveal sharp ivories.

"My name is Phantom and I am the lead stag of Adiraa Marsh." he hissed. "The herd you shall join."

He smirked as he tightened his circle, not allowing her to escape him.

"Ah, as I knew you would. Come, you may want to get there before nightfall.." he grinned. He laughed maliciously as he moved to her hindquarters, roughly pushing her rump with his nose as he forced her in the direction of his beloved marsh.

He winced slightly as her hind hooves planted themselves against his chest. "Foolish mare." he muttered under his breath as he kept a few paces behind Swift to keep from repeating the incident.

At her words he chuckled, "Thank you, I shall take that as a compliment." he grinned as he continued forcing her onward.
